The Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops (PASGT) Helmet was the standard-issue combat helmet for U.S. military forces from the early 1980s through the mid-2000s. Constructed from layers of Kevlar®, this helmet offered superior ballistic protection compared to its predecessor, the M1 steel pot. The PASGT was widely used by the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force security forces throughout major conflicts, including Operation Desert Storm, the Gulf War, and early years of the Global War on Terror.
This medium-sized PASGT helmet is in good condition, showing signs of service use, including paint chipping on the outer shell. It comes complete with its original liner and chinstrap, ensuring an authentic military surplus piece. Additionally, this helmet includes a 6-Color Desert Camouflage helmet cover, commonly known as "Chocolate Chip" camo, which was issued during Desert Storm and other operations in arid environments.
