Issued to soldiers of the Nationale Volksarmee (NVA), this Cold War-era East German canteen set is a complete example of DDR military field gear. The set includes the original translucent plastic canteen, aluminum drinking cup with folding wire handles, and a padded cotton cover in the distinctive Strichtarn (rain pattern) camouflage used by East German forces from the 1960s through the fall of the Berlin Wall.

The canteen fits snugly inside the padded cover and nests into the aluminum cup, all secured by original leather straps and buckles. This setup was designed for durability in the field and ease of access while attached to a belt or webbing. Whether you're a collector of Cold War memorabilia, a reenactor, or just into vintage military gear, this is a solid, display-worthy piece of history.
